-
With the barrel key marked 601, release and tip the machine forward. You can probably do this with it still connected to the hinge. It helps to have a friend there to support it. You don't want it to fall off the wall.
-
Or: Remove it from the wall, disconnect the network cable, and take the power supply and clock over to a desk to do this. That's the "best way." Only if it's convenient, of course.
-
See two items:
On left: The power supply plug. In the center, a small white button (a microswitch) which is underneath the ribbon cable, and on top of the circuit board.
-
Right hand: Press and hold the “Press and hold” the white button. Left hand: Unplug, then 1 second later, plug it back in.
-
THEN release the white button. You should hear two beeps. If you don’t hear two beeps, repeat this.
-
Quickly (you have about 5 seconds), press 9 on the keypad. It should say RESET ALL, or reset in progress (something like that). This may take 2 or three tries, but it always works.
-
This resets the machine. “Cold Boot!”
-
Tip the machine back up and lock to the wall.
The machine has been cleared. Next:
